Boat Life Floating Prodding Stick Kit
The Boat Life Floating Prodding Stick uses spring button locking fibreglass pole sections to quickly explore and mark spots whilst out on the water.
Firstly it can be used as a prodding stick to poke and prod the bottom to find out the substrate or make up of the bottom, identify depressions or depth changes and then used as a marker pole to mark your chosen spot or feature.
Choose the removable domed metal nose to determine the nature of the lakebed, replacing with the pointed spike to adapt the Prodding Stick to a marker pole.
The top marker pole breaks down into three sections to allow the pole to sit low to the surface. All 3 top sections feature high buoyancy foam for improved stability and to prevent accidental loss. A high viz fluoro orange EVA sight tip and wrap of reflective tape ensure the pole is visible in all light conditions, including under head torch light.
Holes in the bottom section ensure the stick is easy to manoeuvre even when using substantial numbers of sections in deep water.

End Pieces (2x): Aluminium (Al)
Main Pole: Fibreglass, reinforced with Epoxy resin.
Warnings:
- ELECTROCUTION HAZARD: DO NOT use this stick near power lines, overhead cables, or in thunderstorms. While the main pole is made of fibreglass, the metal parts and wet conditions can conduct electricity, which could cause severe injury or death.
- TRIP & FALL HAZARD: When extending or using the stick-on land or in a boat, be aware of the long sections to avoid tripping over them yourself or in a boat. This could lead to a fall and a risk of drowning.
- DROWNING HAZARD: Use of this product carries a drowning risk. All users must wear a life jacket. Do not use the product if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- PUNCTURE & SHARP PARTS HAZARD: The spiked end of the stick is sharp and can cause a serious puncture injury. Handle with extreme care.
- ENTANGLEMENT HAZARD: Be aware of strong currents, weeds, or underwater debris that could cause the stick to become entangled. Entanglement could pull you under or cause you to lose control of your boat.
- STRUCTURAL DAMAGE HAZARD: This product is not designed to be used as a lever or for striking. Striking rocks or other hard surfaces can cause the fiberglass to crack and fail, leading to potential injury.

- Cleaning: After each use, separate the sections and clean with a damp cloth to remove mud, silt, or debris. Allow all sections to dry completely before reassembling and storing.
- Storage: Store the Prodding Stick in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Before each use, inspect all sections and attachments for signs of damage or wear. Do not use the product if the fiberglass is cracked, or the metal parts are bent or broken.
