The iconic Scope Recon Brolly returns, offering the ultimate shelter choice for the mobile angler and now with greater weather protection, premium fabric, a removable mosquito mesh front panel and the same short packdown to partner with Scope 9 and 10 foot rod luggage.

Using an extra tough 10,000mm Aquasense® 150 x 150 cover with high strength 8mm fibreglass ribs for strength with flexibility for extreme conditions this is a brolly to withstand heavy use season after season. Weaknesses have been designed out, such as the central bell cap using stainless wire to eliminate a common stress point and area of failure in cheaper shelters.

A space saver centre boss maximises internal head room and space under the canopy by locking the ribs tight to the cover. A Scope Four Fold Sleep System ensures maximum space under the brolly however a standard bed will fit.

Front storm panels are extended over the traditional brolly storm sides, offering similar protection to a Titan Hide or the old skool Groundhog and Hog brollies of the early 2000s. The additional coverage allows a sleep system to be positioned at the back of the brolly where it is almost completely protected even from directional rain. Storm panels also roll and secure back independently with elastic toggles for maximum peripheral visibility in dry conditions.

The extended internal skirt is designed to allow multiple sleep system feet to be placed over it to help pin the brolly down on wooden platforms or concrete where pegging is impossible.

For summer sessions, nights in jungle swims or guesting an optional mozzi panel is included to ensure protection from biting insects. Securing around the centre bell cap and using individual pegging points separate to the brolly itself, twin elastics and toggles allow the mesh to be tightened down to form a complete barrier against the fabric of the brolly. Finished with the slickest and smoothest zip we could find, you can burst out from the protection of the brolly with no chance of snagging when an alarm sounds.

Designed to complement the Scope OPS Rod Skin range the brolly is supplied in a roll down and clip waterproof bag that offers the same connectivity as the Scope Rod Skin system. Clip your brolly to your rod skins using the velcro tab and buckle connections or it can be connected to rod skins or carried independently using a separate shoulder strap (not included) to connect via D clips. The base of the carry bag is reinforced to ensure it does not leak water and also is not damaged by the supplied storm rods that also fit inside the bag.

NOTE: Because the Scope OPS Recon Brolly carry bag is watertight, a wet or even damp brolly must be removed and dried as soon as possible from the bag to prevent moulding and damage to the waterproof cover. The guy rope hole in the centre bell cap also doubles to allow the brolly to be hung up and dried post session.
